v1.0.8·11 Aug 2026
A New Look for Squadrons, Smarter Readiness & Expanded Ship Support
Squadrons 1.0.8 delivers a major visual and usability update across the platform. The public website has been completely redesigned to better show what Squadrons can do, with real product views covering the Command Dashboard, recruitment, BGS tracking, colonization, diplomacy, carrier management, and Discord automation. The dashboard also receives smarter Squadron Readiness behavior, including the ability to hide the readiness panel once your squadron is fully configured while automatically bringing it back if something later needs attention. Ship identification has been expanded and corrected across the platform, including support for newer vessels such as the Kestrel Mk II, Lynx Highliner, Type-11 Prospector, and Caspian Explorer. This release also includes smaller navigation, leaderboard, privacy, legal, backup-security, and interface improvements throughout Squadrons.
Improved
UI / UX
What this meansSquadrons should now be easier to understand before joining and cleaner to use once you are inside. New commanders can see the platform in action directly from the homepage, squadron leaders should receive fewer unnecessary readiness warnings, and newer Elite Dangerous ships should display with the correct names and manufacturers. We have also tightened several privacy and security details behind the scenes as we prepare Squadrons for wider public use.

More Accurate Service Monitoring & Stronger Platform Reliability
Squadrons 1.0.7 improves platform reliability and gives us much better visibility when individual parts of the service experience problems. The public status system (found at https://status.vintenxe.com) can now independently track the core website, Discord services, BGS data updates, and Frontier account synchronization instead of relying primarily on whether the main website is reachable.
This update also strengthens request routing and safeguards around write operations while preserving realtime connections. Discord monitoring has been improved as well, including a fix for a case where the bot could incorrectly appear healthy after losing its Discord connection.
Improved
What this meansService issues can now be identified much more precisely. If the website is working but Discord integrations, BGS updates, or Frontier synchronization are experiencing problems, the affected service can be reported separately on the public status page.
Behind the scenes, Squadrons also has stronger routing protections for requests that modify data, uploads, and other write operations, while realtime features remain unaffected. These changes are primarily reliability and monitoring improvements, so no action is required from users.

Reliable Member Departures, Clearer Applications & Safer Updates
Squadrons 1.0.6 overhauls how member departures are handled across kicks, bans, voluntary departures, and Discord-driven removals. Members can now be removed reliably even when they have contributed operations, carriers, colonization deliveries, lore, notes, diplomacy activity, or other historical records. Those contributions remain preserved and readable after departure instead of blocking the removal or disappearing with the member.
Recruitment history has also been made clearer and more accurate. An accepted application is now shown separately from a commander’s current membership, so former members will no longer appear as though they are still joined. Additional background reliability improvements help keep essential services running during Discord interruptions and strengthen the safeguards used when testing and deploying future Squadrons updates.
Improved
Discord
Carriers
What this meansSquadron owners and authorized officers should no longer encounter failed member removals caused by a commander’s previous activity. Departed members’ historical contributions remain attributed, active hauling claims are safely cancelled, owned active carriers are decommissioned and unassigned, and authorized moderators retain the historical context needed to manage their squadron responsibly.
Applicants and former members will now see more accurate information, including states such as Current member, Former member — left, Former member — removed, Previously banned, or Banned. Historical applications remain intact, and commanders who left or were removed may apply again when recruitment is open and no active ban applies.
This release also improves platform resilience behind the scenes. A Discord presence connection failure can no longer take down essential background workers, and expanded deployment safeguards help prevent failed release checks from disrupting the live platform.

v1.0.5·31 Jul 2026
Frontier Sync, Open Join & Platform-Wide Improvements
Squadrons 1.0.5 brings together a major collection of improvements across commander data, recruitment, community management, and everyday squadron operations.
Linked Frontier accounts can now be refreshed on a regular schedule, helping commander profiles, ships, activity, Community Goal participation, and fleet-carrier information remain more current. The connection experience is also more resilient when certain Frontier data is unavailable and provides clearer guidance when a commander needs to reconnect or reauthorize their account.
Recruitment has been expanded with Open Join and improved public squadron experiences, making it easier for commanders to discover communities and understand how to become a member. Discord membership checks, reconnection flows, webhook delivery, and integration feedback have also been strengthened to make communication between Squadrons and connected Discord servers more dependable.
Squadron leaders will find additional refinements throughout BGS tracking, carrier coordination, Community Goals, operations, moderation, member management, and administrative tools. This release also includes a broad quality pass covering navigation, permissions, privacy, accessibility, validation, performance, error handling, and overall reliability across both public and authenticated areas of the platform.
Improved
What this meansFor commanders, linked game information should stay current with less manual effort. Squadrons will provide clearer feedback when a Frontier connection expires or requires attention, and commanders without a fleet carrier will no longer encounter misleading failures simply because no carrier information is available. Players searching for a community also have a more direct path to discover squadrons, review their public information, and immediately join communities that support Open Join.
For squadron owners and leadership teams, routine administration should feel more consistent and predictable. Recruitment, membership management, Discord coordination, BGS activity, carrier planning, Community Goals, operations, moderation, and community communications now benefit from clearer status information, stronger validation, and more dependable background processing. When something does go wrong, improved messages and recovery behavior should make the issue easier to understand and resolve.
Public pages and member-only areas have also received additional privacy and access-control improvements. Visitors should only see information intended for public viewing, while authenticated members and authorized leaders retain access to the tools and data appropriate to their roles.
Overall, version 1.0.5 is focused on reducing friction, keeping information fresher, protecting squadron data, and making Squadrons more dependable for commanders, leadership teams, and prospective members.

v1.0.4·27 Jul 2026
Recon Complete Webhooks & Durable Delivery
Squadrons now notifies BGS channels when stale conflict intel is freshly reconfirmed as active, with a new Recon Complete webhook and a durable delivery foundation for future webhook reliability.
Improved
What this meansWhen commanders refresh stale BGS conflict intel, squadrons can now receive a clear “Recon Complete” Discord alert instead of silently clearing the recheck state. Behind the scenes, webhook delivery is now more reliable for this new event.
Squadrons
v1.0.3·04 Jul 2026
CMDR Name Capture & Roster Sync
Squadrons now captures and syncs CMDR names across applications, open joins, onboarding, invite acceptance, profile edits, and the member roster.
Improved
What this meansNew commanders should no longer commonly appear as “No CMDR Name” after joining a squadron. Open-join recruitment now asks for a CMDR Name before creating membership, and Squadrons keeps account-level and roster-level commander names in sync where appropriate.
Applications, onboarding, direct joins, and profile edits now use shared CMDR Name validation, while the member roster can fall back to a commander’s account-level CMDR Name when the roster-specific value is missing.
This makes new member onboarding cleaner for commanders and gives squadron leadership a more reliable roster.

v1.0.2·03 Jul 2026
Recon Requested Webhooks & Update Feeds
Squadrons now gives commanders clearer guidance when BGS conflict intel needs fresh confirmation, with new Recon Requested alerts and dedicated webhook feeds for Squadrons and EDMC plugin updates.
Improved
What this meansWhen a tracked conflict becomes stale or unconfirmed, Squadrons can now notify your BGS webhook with a Recon Requested alert. These alerts explain what needs confirmation and tell commanders to fly to or dock in the target system with EDMC and the Squadrons plugin running so fresh journal data can update squadron intel.
The BGS Tracker and system detail pages now explain Needs Recheck more clearly, treating it as a recon task rather than a confirmed active conflict.
These are disabled by default and can be configured from the webhook settings page.

Safer Server Connections & Token Protection
Squadrons Telemetry now strictly validates server addresses and refuses all HTTP redirects, preventing API tokens and journal data from being sent over insecure or redirected connections.
Improved
What this meansYour telemetry API token is better protected from misconfigured or malicious server addresses. Non-local servers must use HTTPS, unsafe URL formats are rejected, and the plugin will never resend your token to a redirect destination. The configured telemetry destination is also shown clearly in the EDMC settings panel.
